The Masters of Spinjitzu encounter the mysterious Phantom Ninja.

The Masters of Spinjitzu are stuck on a comet, having traveled through space to save the World of Ninjago from the Nindroids. As they race through the stars, it becomes apparent that they are not alone on the comet. Something has stowed away, something not of their world.

Jay, who just flew through an electrical storm, crashes into a world ruled by the Serpentine, where Sensei Wu's team of ninjas never existed and skeleton warriors serve the leaders, and the only hope is Lord Garmadon.

Kai, Cole, Zane, and Jay face a new challenge in the form of the Fangpyre, serpentine enemies determined to find the Serpentine Stones.

Garmadon and his son, Lloyd, fight side-by-side with Jay, Cole, Zane, and Kai, the Masters of Spinjitzu, against a menace created by Garmadon himself, and now they do not know if Garmadon is good or evil, or both.
