Are Smallville's strange mysteries caused by meteor rocks or by a more sinister reason such as nineteenth century diary found in an unmarked grave alleging that the region was forever cursed by a vengeful witch. Suddenly, terrible events begin to happen in Smallville similar to those described in the diary. And when Chloe Sullivan breaks the story, panic spreads and lives are lost. Now Clark must discover the truth behind a 150 year old tragedy, before the curse claims all of Smallville.

Days before Lex Luthor's big party, Clark's wishes come true when Lana unexpectedly leaves her boyfriend. Then suddenly Clark's powers and his memories of them vanish. At the same time a paroled killer named Ray Dansk returns to Smallville, where meteor contaminated water gives him the fierce strength of a dragon and a rage to pay back the town that sent him to prison. Unless Clark's memory and abilities return, Lex's mansion will become the place where a villian's vengeance will be carried out on the people of Smallville.
