Sayre Lynch returns to her hometown for the funeral of her brother, Danny, who supposedly committed suicide, and finds herself embroiled in a mystery surrounding her tyrannical father who owns the town's only industry, her older brother, a corrupt lawyer, and the deputy sheriff who has his doubts about Danny's suicide.
