A Memphis DJ hires Bull Ingram to find Ramblin' John Hastur, a bluesman whose dark music is broadcast on a phantom radio station and who can make men insane and the dead rise. The music fills Bull with rage and sends him in search of the bluesman who sold his soul to the devil. However, during the search, Bull finds something worse than the devil and Hell.
