The Slayer Chronicles

Chronicles of Vladimir Tod

Thirteen-year-old half-vampire Vladimir Tod struggles to navigate the ups and downs of eighth grade while keeping his untested powers and impulses under control.

THE CHRONICLES OF VLADIMIR TOD

Eighth grade bites

Junior high really stinks for thirteen-year-old Vladimir Tod. Bullies harass him, the principal is dogging him, and the girl he likes prefers his best friend. Oh and Vlad has a secret. His mother was human, but his father was a vampire.

Eleventh grade burns

Another year at Bathory High goes bad for Vlad Tod when his former friend Joss, now a vampire slayer, returns to town, a mysterious and powerful new vampire, Dorian, arrives with a thirst for Vlad's blood, and archenemy D'Ablo brings Vlad's Uncle Otis to trial.

First kill

During the summer before ninth grade, Joss sets off to meet his uncle and hunt down the beast that murdered his younger sister three years earlier and learns he is destined to join the Slayer Society.

Ninth Grade Slays

If middle school sucked for Vladimir Tod, high school is a real drain. Besides a punching bag for bullies, he's stalled with dream girl Meredith, and he's being tailed by a photographer from the school newspaper. Needless to say, practicing his vampire skills hasn't exactly been a priority for Vlad - until now. A monumental trip to Siberia with Uncle Otis is Vlad's crash course in Vampire 101.

Tenth Grade Bleeds

The evil vampire D'Ablo is hunting for a ritual that could steal Vlad's powers. His best friend, Henry, doesn't want to be his drudge anymore. His girlfriend, Meredith, seems to like him, but for the invincible life of him Vlad can't figure out why. And worst of all, it's getting harder for Vlad to resist feeding on the people around him-the people he holds most dear.
