Whatever happened to daddy's little girl? / Barras, Jonetta Rose

The author presents a personal exploration of the impact of fatherlessness on African-American women, discussing her own experiences and those of her daughter, a child of divorce; and drawing from interviews with other women to reveal the feelings of emptiness, insecurity, and self-doubt created by a father's abandonment.

Through personal narrative and interviews, explores the negative consequences of fatherlessness in the lives of black women, in both childhood and adulthood, and provides insight on overcoming these obstacles.
