Kinsey and Tyler Locke endure emotional turmoil after a shocking death that conjures memories of their father's murder. And, while six-year-old Bode tries to figure out the secret of the head key, Uncle Duncan sees a strangely familiar face from his past.

Lucas "Dodge" Caravaggio finally has the key that will open the Black Door. Disguised as little Bode Locke, he goes into the Drowning Cave to open the door and release the demons. Now a final confrontation between good and evil will take place deep below Keyhouse.

Dodge, who has taken over Bode's body, continues to search for the Omega Key in the Keyhouse. Meanwhile, Tyler and Kensey open a gateway to the past to face their own family history.

While Dodge continues his quest to find the key to the black door, the Locke children are left alone to defend themselves in a world where the night has become their enemy, at their new home, Keyhouse, on the island of Lovecraft, Maine.

Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode encounter a sinister creature in Keyhouse who does everything in its power to unlock the mansion's mysterious doors, which transform all who dare to enter.

The Locke children have grown used to the magical keys discovered within their home, Keyhouse, and the tragedy associated with them, but they do not realize the danger they are in from Lucas Caravaggio, alias Zack Wells, whose quest for the key to the black door is relentless.
