American geneticist Charlotte Hennesey, cured of cancer by DNA extracted from the bones of Jesus, becomes the target of a host of criminals and assassins, most notably Aaron Cohen, a rabbi whose family has been the guardian of the Ark of the Covenant for many years and who wants Charlotte and her now purified blood to open the Ark.
