Jewel thieves

The "Jewels" of the Martha Washington Middle School team are focused on the upcoming quiz bowl in New York City but when they discover that the Atkinson Preparatory School Rivals may be planning a diamond heist, they set out to foil the theft.

Jasmine, Erin, Willow, and Lili are first year middle school students in Washington, D.C., chosen for the academic quiz team because of their expertise in art, math, science, and history--and when a precious, historical ruby is stolen from the school during a tournament the "Jewels" set out to use their talents to solve the mystery.

The girls set out to protect an emerald necklace belonging to a famous reality TV show star, and with tensions running high, find their friendship beginning to suffer, until the Jewels get help from a new top-secret ally.
