In 2002 Michelle Knight was kidnapped by a Cleveland bus driver named Ariel Castro. For more than a decade she endured unimaginable torture. At her rescue, investigators and psychologists would liken her years of imprisonment to that of a prisoner of war. In 2003 Castro kidnapped Amanda Berry and in 2004 he took Gina DeJesus. The three escaped on May 6, 2013. Michelle's past fight to remain a person of worth and her determination now to build a life worth living is beyond inspirational.
