On the run with a stolen set of famous Spanish diamonds known as "The Planets," tough guy Henry Dante meets Grace McGlone at a car wash in a small Wisconsin town, a woman who refuses to have anything to do with the ill-gotten jewels, and together the unlikely couple embarks on a cross-country odyssey, pursued by a gangster obsessed with the diamonds.
