After the violence of "Bloody Sunday" in 1965, Catholic sisters from around the country followed their faith to join the voting rights protests in Selma, Alabama. Never before in American history had vowed Catholic women made so public a political statement. Featuring a Franciscan Sister of Mary, Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester, a Sister of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and co-members of the Loretto Community.
