Yorick the skeleton and his beloved canine pal Bones have been invited to a costume party. Yorick goes dressed up as a cowboy and meets a cute human girl, but he worries she only likes him because of his costume--so, Yorick decides to pretend he is someone he is not to impress the girl.

After waking up grumpy, Bird decides he will walk instead of fly and is joined by other animals who cheer him up.

Yorick is a skeleton who is brought to life after a collision between a hot dog vendor and a witch and later dug up by a dog named Bones. The two begin an unlikely partnership and go on an adventure to find other people to be friends with in the modern world. They soon learn that friendship is closer than they think.

Bird wants to play, but all his animal friends tell him that it is bedtime, and only when they tuck him in and sing a lullaby does he finally fall asleep--briefly.

While on a hike with his friends, Bird gets hungry and he gets mad when he finds out that nobody brought a snack he likes. When he finally collapses from hunger, he decides to try the food his friends brought after all.
