During a battle between rival pirates, Louise and Benjamin are able to escape The Angry Flea only to be trapped on Shark Island. They must find a way out quickly or they will lose their father's trail.
After reuniting with their father, Louise and Benjamin are dreaming of a life of adventure with him. However, when he leaves them in the care of the landlord of the Black Octopus they decide to go looking for him.
Louise and Benjamin set sail for Veracruz to rescue their imprisoned father, Captain Roc but they are not sure what their older sister, Mary, has planned.
