The night before Bei Liu's challenge against Cao Cao for the role of most powerful man in China, Shao Yuan, Bei Liu's ally, withdraws his support and Bei Liu is forced to flee for his life, leaving Yu Guan to fend for himself against Cao Cao. Cao Cao, however, would like to have Yu Guan on his side and tries to get Yu Guan to change his allegiance.
