Guardians of Ga'Hoole

Young owls Soren, Gylfie, Twilight, and Digger travel to the Ga'Hoole Tree hoping to learn to fight the evil in the owl kingdom and find themselves facing challenges they never expected, training to become part of a noble order.

Soren and his band must fly to the mysterious Northern Kingdoms to find allies against the Pure Ones who are about to launch another deadly attack against the great tree. The Grand Battle begins with the search for allies in the Northern Kingdoms and ends in The Burning that will change all Owldom forever. Soren and his band are sent to the mysterious Northern Kingdoms to gather allies and learn the art of war in preparation for the coming cataclysmic battle against the sinister Pure Ones. Meanwhile, in the Southern Kingdoms, St. Aggies has fallen to the Pure Ones and they are using its resources to plan a final invasion of The Great Ga'Hoole Tree. With the future of all Owldom in the balance, the parliament of Ga'Hoole must decide whether or not to join forces with the brutal Skench and Sporn and the scattered remnants of St. Aggies who remain faithful to them. A great battle is on the way. A great Battle is on the horizon and drawing near. In preparation, Soren and his band must fly to the mysterious Northern Kingdoms to find allies and study the grim art of war. Meanwhile, St. Aggie's has fallen to the Pure Ones. If they are not stopped, they will launch another, more deadly attack against the great tree. And without allies from the north, Ga'Hoole will surely fall. Soren's mission must succeed. Soren, a barn owl that is captured and taken to a special school for orphaned owls, is befriended by elf owl Gylfie and together the two set out to discover what is really going on at St. Aegolius Academy.

In this prequel, Ezylryb the Screech owl recounts the story of his life in the Northern Kingdoms--his rise through the ranks of the Killian Army, his brother's betrayal, and his friendship with Octavia the snake, to finally become a Guardian of Ga'Hoole.
