Darth Bane, the last surviving Sith, believes he has found a student worthy of being trained in the ways of the dark side, but his plan for molding the young girl into a weapon to be used against the Jedi is threatened by Jedi Padawan Johun Othone, who vows revenge against the Sith who killed his Jedi Master.
