The devil is a part-timer! / Wagahara, Satoshi

Emilia and Alas go to Ente Isla to collect their thoughts, leaving the Devil King confused by their sudden absence. And while going to take his driver's license exam, he runs into a very familiar pair who leave him even more curious about the disappearance of the two whose mission is to slay him.

Maou, the Devil King, is suspicious about the true origins and nature of Alas Ramus, the little girl whom he and Emi, the Hero, care for. On an outing to an amusement park, Maou tells Emi the truth about the girl, then a chorus of angels shows up to get revenge for an old score.

Chiho and Emi try to figure out Chiho's newfound powers, and Suzuno steps up as Chiho's mentor. But when Suzuno tries to use a public bathhouse as training grounds, everyone's questioning her sanity.

Having finished repairing his dingy apartment, Maou decides he needs a new TV. So, Maou and Ahiya bring Emi's friend Rika with them to the local electronics outlet for help picking out a new digital set. Suzuno goes with, too, and the whole gang enjoys a crazy shopping trip.

Suzuno Kamazuki has arrived and her intentions toward Maou settled, but now she is approached by Emi who wants help fighting the Devil King. Meanwhile, Emi is still being stalked by a mysterious figure.

After the Devil King traveled through a parallel universe into modern-day Tokyo, he's forced to live as a normal human who works at a local fast food restaurant until he can find a way back to hell. And when a young girl enters through a portal that opens up, she is calling the Devil King "papa" and the Hero "Mama." Amidst their shock, Maou and Emi will have to figure out quickly how to make the grade as parents.

Now the Devil King is a store manager, and Crestia Bell has moved in next to his apartment, much to the chagrin of Emi Yusa and Chiho Sasaki. When Sentucky Fried Chicken opens across the street and steals customers, the Devil King must earn his promotion.

Maou is tired of Emi and Laila not getting along. Later, when he agrees to help Emi, it makes Chiho jealous and fearful that her friends might return to Ente Isla without her. Meanwhile, Rika is bursting to talk about a certain demon.

Laila reveals secrets from her past which sends an enraged Emi fleeing from Urushihara's hospital room. Meanwhile, MgRonald's delivery service is up and running. But Emi's family drama could leave Maou caught in the middle.

Maou and his friends think an angel has interfered with Chiho collapses without explanation. They decide that their assailant must be hiding either in Tokyo Tower or the Skytree, so they dispatch the Maou and Alciel dream team to take them out. Then, the tiny Devil's Castle must find a way to transition to digital television.
