Unlucky teacher Ms. Linda LaCrosse wins the lottery and shares her winnings with her class. The students fulfill their dreams with their newfound wealth, but they soon learn that winning the lottery is not all that lucky.

After being struck by purple lightning, Ms. Linda and her students gain superpowers and in an effort to save the world, they nearly destroy it.

Ms. Linda's cousin, the Hollywood agent Lucy LaRoux, gives each student in Classroom 13 the opportunity to become famous, but the students learn that with great celebrity comes stage fright, injury, bad press, and giving up video games.
