Unaware that they are being tracked by new enemies, Miaka and the Celestial Warriors journey into the frigid north in search of sacred treasures that will provide them a second chance to summon the god Suzaku.
Miaka must enter her enemy's capital to confront her former friend and current rival, Yui; find her beloved, Tamahome; and beat General Nakago at his own game.
