When Poppy realizes her pet hen's eggs are not going to hatch, she decides to hatch some eggs herself, and place the chicks in the nest.

Poppy is in charge of the goat races at the farm's annual Pumpkin Festival, but Vincent Van Goat is not interested in racing--so Poppy needs to find something Vincent is willing to do.

The country fair is only a month away when Vincent Van Goat eats all of Poppy's potentially prize winning cucumbers, and because there is not enough time to grow more, Poppy has to come up with a vegetable that will grow quickly (and can be protected from a greedy goat).
