The News Club from Yokai Academy, a high school for monsters, goes to the beach on summer break where Tsukune learns the value of the training Moka has been giving him when a mysterious organization tries to kidnap Mizore.

While they are having the Rosario repaired in Hong Kong, it only takes a touch from the great sorcerer Tohofuhai and Tsukune, Mizore, and Tohofuhai are pulled into Moka's mind, a dream world of memories, where they discover a devastating secret about Moka's heritage.

Tsukune is now a sophomore at the boarding school for monsters and everyone has a problem with him, except Moka, a vampire. The down side to their crush, she has a thirst for his blood.

While Tsukune, Mizore, and the sorcerer Tohofuhai are inside Moka's mind, Moka's sister Aqua shows up demanding that she be allowed to take Moka with her. Moka wakes up and agrees to go with Aqua in order to keep her friends safe and the others follow behind in hope of rescuing her.
