The contestants for the Totsuki Institute's annual Fall Classic begin training for the upcoming cooking battles just as a special visitor arrives.

After their classmates' expulsion from Totsuki, Soma, Takumi, and Megumi challenge Sentral to a team shokugeki, hoping to get their classmates' expulsion overturned. The showdown is on Rebun Island, the place where the final stage of the advancement exams is set to be held.

Soma and the other members of the resistance must defeat a Council of Ten member in order to move past the third stage of the advancement exam. And before all is said and done, Dean Azami's true motivations are revealed.

Stage three of the advancement exams begin and Soma goes up against none other than Akira Hayama, who once beat him in the Fall Classic.

With the judges strongly influenced by his opponent, Soma remains determined to save the Polaris dormitory. And as Central works toward eliminating anyone who resists, Soma's future is more unclear than ever.
